Platinum End Episode Three Discussion

As things are winding down in the aspect of my moving situation I expect to be posting more than just episode discussions, we’re only a few days out from being fully moved in so by next week I expect more timeliness and more content slowly coming out onto the site. For now we’re looking at Platinum End’s third episode.

Revel, Angel of Saki

Revel and his candidate, Saki, revealed a lot to us this episode. Such as the red arrow still having effects on those that are already in love and the ranks of angels not quite being cut and dry. Revel’s method of manipulating individuals without getting Saki’s hands dirty is effective and almost takes Mirai for a spin, in conjunction with the use of the red arrow. I still don’t quite trust the guy, although the confrontation with Metropoliman that Revel tried to push on Mirai is almost inevitable that we’ll be witnessing it happen soon.

Let’s imagine for a moment what this new team of Mirai, Nasse, Saki and Revel, can bring to the table. At first glance, Mirai is just being used to help Saki progress with accessibility to wings and a white arrow. Revel had made mention in the defeat of another candidate their powers can be transferred to another human, this can eventually lead to a power team where neither character has to rely on anything but each other’s trust. Saki, unlike Revel, doesn’t seem the type to manipulate Mirai, but I would be foolish to not acknowledge how great of a twist that would make. I could see this going either way, and Mirai needs to be careful, especially of Revel’s trickster personality.
